Royal Enfield Meteor was first introduced in India in 2020 as the replacement for the Thunderbird 350X. The Enfield Meteor features the classic and timeless look of a cruiser. It is currently available in 3 variants with prices starting from INR 1.81 lakh.
In the latest update, Royal Enfield has decided to recall 2,36,966 units of the Meteor across different markets including India. According to Royal Enfield, the cause of the recall is supposedly a defect in the ignition coil.
Royal Enfield Meteor is developed as the successor of the Thunderbird 250X. The influence of its predecessor on the Meteor’s design is distinctive, from the circular headlamps with LED DRLs, peanut-shaped fuel tank, pulled back handlebar, cascading rear fender, as well as an LED taillight.

Royal Enfield Meteor is also fitted with various useful and high-tech features. Some key features of this cruiser are a semi-digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation function
Powering the 2021 Royal Enfield Meteor cruiser is a 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor that churns out 20.2 Bhp of maximum power and 27 Nm of peak torque. Of course, this engine is compliant with the BSVI emission norm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox. About the suspension, the Royal Enfield Meteor is supported by telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the back. Other than that, it comes with single discs on both wheels. As far as safety is concerned, the Meteor is provided with dual-channel ABS.
Royal Enfield Meteor is available in three variants, Fireballs, Stellar, and Supernova. In addition, the company also provides up to seven colour options for the customers to choose from. The available options include Red Metallic, Black Matte. Blue Metallic. On the premium version, the Meteor is available with some additional dual-paint options – Supernova Brown-black and Supernova Blue-black.
On top of that, the company also offers a couple of customization options, allowing the customers to enhance and personalize their bikes. For example, the buyers can opt to get adds-on like a windshield, bash plate, seats, footpegs, backrest, and more.
The Enfield Meteor is rivaling against the likes of Honda H’ness CB350, Benelli Imperiale 400.
